At Communities we play a vital role in supporting and strengthening communities across Western Australia. We provide services and work with our partners to keep children safe, provide vital community services, including in emergencies, address homelessness, prevent family and domestic violence and provide stewardship for the disability sector. Our work also includes regulating early childhood education and care and leading initiatives across women’s interests, youth, seniors and ageing, carers, and volunteering.

Your Role. Your Impact.
The Department of Communities Complaints Management Unit (CMU) and Reportable Conduct Team (RCT) are small, supportive teams that provide a unique opportunity to utilise your child protection experience and expertise.
The Roles:
CMU respond to complaints about services provided by Communities and the role includes:
RCT ensures Communities meets the obligations of the Reportable Conduct Scheme in relation to allegations of harm to children by employees and carers and the role includes:

Opportunities Available
A number of flexible, fixed term positions are available in 2026/27 across both teams, with opportunities for part time work and variable length contracts up to 30 June 2027.
Recruitment Pool: This recruitment pool may be used to fill various fixed term or permanent, full-time positions arising within the next 12 months.
