Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Personal Injury

We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our Sydney personal injury practice.

This is a hands-on role offering genuine involvement in matters, autonomy in your work and the opportunity to play an important role in a growing practice.

The role

You will:

• assist with the day-to-day management and progression of personal injury matters;

• liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, experts and counsel;

• prepare correspondence, briefs and legal documents;

• obtain and follow up medical and other evidence;

• coordinate appointments, conferences, mediations and hearings;

• manage key dates, deadlines and follow-ups; and

• help keep files organised and matters progressing.

About you

We are looking for someone with solid experience in a legal support role in personal injury.

You will be organised, proactive and confident managing competing priorities. You will have strong attention to detail, communicate well with clients and colleagues, and have the judgement to know what you can progress independently and when something needs a solicitor's input.

Most importantly, you take responsibility for your work and follow things through.
