Role Description This full-time Event Manager role is based in Sydney, NSW, in a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site collaboration with flexible work-from-home options. The Event Manager will plan, coordinate, and deliver corporate events and incentives from concept to completion, including briefing, proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and supplier management. Daily responsibilities include liaising with clients to understand objectives, designing event programs, managing logistics such as venues, travel, accommodation, and catering, and ensuring all operational details run smoothly. The role also involves coordinating internal and external stakeholders, overseeing event timelines, monitoring risk and compliance, and providing on-site event management and post-event reporting. The Event Manager will contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing event performance, capturing feedback, and supporting the development of new experiential event concepts.
Qualifications Strong event planning and project management skills, with experience delivering end-to-end corporate events, incentives, or experiential programs.Supplier and stakeholder management capabilities, including negotiating with venues, travel providers, and other partners to secure competitive group rates and value-added services.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and build trusted relationships with clients and delegates.Organisarional and time management skills, including managing multiple projects, budgets, timelines, and event documentation with high attention to detail.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a calm, solutions-focused approach to managing issues and risks during planning and live events.Comfort with hybrid work environments, including proficiency with digital collaboration tools, event software, and basic office productivity applications.Prior experience in events, travel, hospitality, or related industries; familiarity with destination management and incentive travel is highly beneficial.Relevant tertiary qualification in event management, tourism, hospitality, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
