About the Role

As our Organisation Improvement & Change Lead, you will partner with leaders and teams across the organisation to design, implement and embed improvement and change initiatives that support the delivery of the Organisation Plan and transform the way we work.

This newly created role will lead with  strong relationships, collaboration and hands-on support to help teams own and drive sustainable improvements. You will be recognised as a trusted advisor, facilitator and change leader who brings people together to deliver meaningful organisational outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff the core responsibilities include:

• Organisation-wide improvement initiatives are successfully delivered and embedded - Leads the implementation of key improvement and change initiatives aligned to the Organisation Plan, resulting in measurable improvements to service delivery, efficiency, employee experience and organisational performance. Changes are successfully embedded into business-as-usual practices and demonstrate sustainable outcomes.
• Increased organisational capability and consistency in change management - Develops and implements a practical organisation-wide improvement and change management program, with leaders and teams demonstrating increased confidence, capability and ownership in leading change. A consistent approach to improvement is adopted across the organisation.
• Strong partnerships drive a culture of continuous improvement - Builds trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation, fostering collaboration, whole-of-organisation thinking and shared accountability for improvement. Teams proactively identify and implement improvements, with continuous improvement becoming part of everyday ways of working.

About You

• Education & Experience – Demonstrated experience leading and implementing organisation-wide improvement initiatives that deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes. Experience within local government or a complex service-based environment is desirable.
• Continuous Improvement & Change – Proven ability to identify, design and implement process, service or organisational improvements that enhance performance, effectiveness and customer outcomes. Formal change management qualifications or experience are desirable but not essential.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building – Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and partner with leaders, teams and stakeholders to influence outcomes, foster collaboration and support successful implementation of change and improvement initiatives
• Written & Oral Communication – Highly developed communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage, influence and support diverse audiences through periods of change, translating complex concepts into practical and actionable outcomes.
• Project Management – Demonstrated experience managing and coordinating improvement projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring progress and delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes.  
• Capability Development – Experience supporting leaders and teams to build improvement and change capability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and organisational learning
