Tauondi Aboriginal College is an independent, Aboriginal community-controlled Registered Training Organisation that has supported Aboriginal people through education, training, learner support, employment pathways and community-based programs for more than 50 years.
Governed by an Aboriginal Board, Tauondi places Aboriginal culture, identity and community at the centre of learning. We provide a culturally safe and welcoming environment where students can build their skills, confidence and pathways to further education, employment and personal development.
We are seeking a Community Services Sector Trainer and Assessor to deliver high-quality, nationally recognised vocational education and training.
A core focus of the role is delivering the Certificate II in Community Services as a pathway to Certificate III programs, traineeships and employment. Depending on your qualifications and current industry experience, you may also deliver Certificate III qualifications in Community Services and/or Individual Support, including ageing and disability.
You will design, plan, deliver and assess training in accordance with regulatory standards, Training Package requirements and Tauondi policies. Delivery may take place in the classroom, online, in community settings or in the workplace.
In this role, you will:
You are an engaging and supportive educator with current community services industry knowledge and a strong commitment to culturally responsive training.
You will bring:
Experience delivering Certificate II or III Community Services or Certificate III Individual Support—and experience teaching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners—will be highly regarded.
The position requires:
A TAE traineeship pathway may be available for a suitable candidate.
