About the role
Overview of role:
Coliban Water is seeking an experienced Program Controller to join our Rural Water Efficiency Project (RWEP) team.
The RWEP is a landmark initiative designed to modernise and optimise the Greater Bendigo rural water system, improving water efficiency and services for more than 1,150 rural customers.
As Program Controller, you’ll play a key role in bringing together project schedules, milestones and dependencies across the program, providing clear visibility of delivery performance and helping project teams identify and respond to emerging risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Working collaboratively across the RWEP team, you will:
Develop, maintain and quality-assure project and program schedules.
Integrate individual project schedules into a cohesive portfolio delivery roadmap.
Identify dependencies, critical milestones, constraints and emerging schedule risks.
Analyse schedule performance and provide insights on potential delays and downstream impacts.
Develop scheduling scenarios and options to support effective decision-making.
Work closely with Project Managers to develop realistic mitigation and contingency plans.
Maintain strong schedule data integrity, governance and change control.
Support program reporting and governance forums with clear and accurate information.
Identify opportunities to continuously improve project planning, scheduling and delivery practices.
Provide guidance and support to Project Managers to strengthen scheduling capability across the program.
About you:
You’ll bring strong planning, scheduling and analytical capability, along with the confidence to work collaboratively with Project Managers, senior leaders and stakeholders.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
3+ years’ experience in project planning and scheduling.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and industry best practice.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
A collaborative approach and the ability to influence others to achieve shared project outcomes.
A tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management or a related field is desirable, along with project management or scheduling certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 $93,548 - $116,119 plus super salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience. This role is a Fulltime Ongoing/ Fixed term position.
