Venue Manager Role

A Woolloongabba venue is offering a senior leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing the full operational performance of the venue and to take the venue to the next level.

This role demands excellence across front of house, food & beverage and events all whilst ensuring strong financial outcomes.

Key focus areas include increasing functions and events revenue, organising and implementing new venue entertainment/themed nights whilst maintaining operational efficiency across staffing, service delivery, and compliance.

Close collaboration with the owner and working closely within the company group.

This is a full-time role, 38 hours per week across five days (including weekends) and your roster will be set accordingly.

Your Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years in a senior hospitality or venue management role

• Proven leadership capability

• Strong financial acumen with experience implementing and managing budgets

• Demonstrated success in driving events and business growth

• Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations, compliance, and POS systems

• Strong knowledge of beer, wine and cocktails

• Solid knowledge/understanding of social media advertising campaigns

About the Role

You'll work closely with the owner to oversee day-to-day operations whilst lifting performance across whole of venue.

You'll be visible on the floor leading the team through busy periods and ensuring consistency across all areas of the business.

As the Venue Manager you will be responsible for

• Leading service standards across whole of venue

• Managing venue compliance, including RSA, licensing obligations, and health, safety and hygiene standards

• Oversee daily operations, staffing, and compliance

• Driving consistency, presentation and efficiency

• Support and develop team members

• Maintain a strong leadership presence during busy service periods

·        Carry out and oversee daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of upkeep are met

·        Maintain venue presentation and atmosphere

·        Purchasing, stock control and restocking of all products for the venue

·        Assist with hiring front-of-house staff

• Other duties as assigned

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following

• At least 2 years' experience in a comparable role

• Experience in driving business growth and innovation

• Strong leadership style — professional and hands-on

• ​Experienced in all venue operations

• Attention to detail

• A genuine passion for hospitality

• RMLV essential with Approved Managers Licence

• Excellent communication skills

• Enjoy working hands on, as well as efficiently when it comes to reporting and paperwork

• Ability to meet and work towards the venue’s goals/deadlines

• Someone who has flexibility in working nights and weekends
