PASTRY CHEF — Full TimeArimia Pty Ltd — Margaret River Region, WAArimia is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time, ongoing basis.
About the roleWorking closely with the Head Chef, you will take ownership of our pastry and dessert offering, producing house-made baked goods and desserts that reflect our seasonal, produce-driven philosophy.
Key responsibilitiesCreate unique baked goods in accordance with menu specificationsDevelop creative, customised desserts and baked goodsContribute to the overall menu direction of the restaurantManage stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships for the pastry sectionMonitor portion and waste control to maintain profit marginsEnsure the kitchen is clean at all times and meets all local health code and food safety requirementsTrain and supervise junior kitchen staff in pastry techniques as required
Skills and experienceRelevant trade qualification in patisserie or commercial cookery (AQF Certificate III or higher), or equivalent overseas qualificationDemonstrated experience in a comparable pastry role in a restaurant or commercial kitchenSound knowledge of Australian food safety and hygiene standardsAbility to work independently and manage a sectionCurrent right to work in Australia
TermsFull-time position, 38 ordinary hours per weekSalary: $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation at the statutory rateLocation: Margaret River region, Western Australia
