Building Manager | Facilities & Property Experience Welcomed

About the role

Excel Building Management is looking for capable, organised and practical people to join the Building Management team. Depending on your experience and portfolio requirements, the opportunity may involve responsibility for a single premium property or a small number of properties across the Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, North Sydney and Southern Suburbs. Building Management experience is valued, but it is not the only pathway into this role. Your background may be in facilities, property, construction, trades, maintenance, contractor coordination or another operational environment. What matters is your ability to communicate well, organise work, solve problems, coordinate contractors and follow issues through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors, maintenance, repairs and site activities

• Build effective working relationships with residents, owners, committee members and Strata Managers

• Identify building issues, arrange appropriate action and follow matters through to completion

• Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections and statutory requirements

• Maintain accurate records, work orders, correspondence and management reports

• Support safe contractor activities through established WHS, induction and compliance procedures

About you

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good organisation, administration and follow-through

• Confidence coordinating contractors and resolving practical issues

• Professional judgement when dealing with clients, residents and competing priorities

• Comfort using Microsoft Office and online management systems

• Reliability, accountability and a willingness to learn

• Previous strata or Building Management experience is advantageous, but not essential

• Eligible to work in Australia
