The Griffin Coal Mining Company is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanical Tradespersons to join our mobile maintenance team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance on various mobile equipment. You will work efficiently and safely to achieve agreed availability and reliability targets.

In this role your duties will include but are not limited to:

•           Performing maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy mobile equipment in accordance with scheduled and breakdown maintenance requirements;

•           Actively contribute to achieving equipment availability targets;

•           Attend to diagnosis and fault finding of mechanical faults and breakdowns; and

•           Undertaking checks to verify equipment is fit for purpose and in suitable and safe working condition.

EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have:

•           Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Duty Mechanical);

•           Minimum 2 years' experience as a tradesperson in a heavy industry or mining environment;

•           Current Dogging, Basic Rigging and Forklift (high risk) licences;

•           Current WA "C" class driver's licence; and

•           Excellent communication and organisational skills.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
