As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our Melbourne team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electronic Security Technician who enjoys working with premium security systems, solving technical challenges, and delivering outstanding customer service.

You will be responsible for servicing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining electronic security systems across commercial, industrial, retail, sites throughout Melbourne.

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission and program electronic security systems.

• Service, fault-find and repair CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.

• Configure and test integrated security platforms.

• Attend breakdowns and provide prompt technical support to clients.

• Complete preventative maintenance in accordance with service schedules.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Produce accurate service reports and documentation using mobile technology.

• Liaise professionally with clients, project managers and office staff.

• Work safely while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

• Assist other technicians and project teams when required.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electronic Security Technician.

• Strong experience servicing and commissioning commercial electronic security systems.

• Experience with:

  • Gallagher

  • Integriti

  • Inception

  • Tecom

  • Protege

• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Licences & Qualifications (Essential)

You must hold:

• Victorian Security Installer Registration

• Open Cabling Registration

• White Card

• Working at Heights

• EWP Licence

• Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)

• Current Australian Driver Licence

• Current Security Equipment Installer Registration

• Full Australian Working Rights

Applicants must also be willing to:

• Undergo a National Police Check

• Obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check
