Role Description The Mechanical Fitter role at Böklunder is a full-time, on-site position based in Germany. The Mechanical Fitter will install, maintain, and repair mechanical components and production machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical faults, performing routine inspections, carrying out preventive maintenance, and completing mechanical fitting and assembly work according to technical drawings and specifications. The role involves working closely with production teams to minimize downtime, documenting maintenance activities, and adhering to all safety and quality standards. The Mechanical Fitter will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support commissioning of new machinery when required.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Fitting and Machinery operation, including assembling, aligning, and installing mechanical components.Candidates should possess skills in Machining, such as operating lathes, mills, or other machine tools to fabricate or modify parts.Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including troubleshooting, routine servicing, and equipment reliability improvement.Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably with production or processing machinery.Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
