The Role

Due to the continued growth of Wanless, we’re on the lookout for a hands-on Labourer to join our brand new, busy depot in Smithfield.

This isn’t just another labouring job—you’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team where you can learn new skills, take on different challenges and grow your experience in the recycling and waste industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

Clean and assemble waste and recycling binsMaintain yard cleanliness and organisationSupport operations with general yard dutiesAssisting customers with drop-offs and enquiriesUsing power tools such as drills, grinders and hand toolsUsing a forklift to move and load/unload bins and other itemsIf licenced; train to be a spare route Truck Driver when needed

About You

Experience in recycling or waste is great but not essential—if you’re dependable, eager to learn, and ready to roll up your sleeves, we’ll train you! Extra brownie points if you hold a truck licence, have welding skills or trade experience.

Waste Industry / Scrap Metal experience (desirable)Punctual, reliable and fit for physical workA team player who’s switched on and can work independentlyWell presented and safety-focusedWilling to pitch in and take on a variety of jobsA positive, team-first attitudeHave a drivers licence and reliable transport (essential)Have a current Forklift License & min 2 years experience (essential)HR Truck Licence (desirable)Able to pass a medical and regular random Drug & Alcohol testing
