Electrical Project Manager

About the role

As Electrical Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the full project lifecycle, delivering major commercial and industrial electrical projects valued between $1M and $10M. You will lead site teams of approximately 10–25 electricians, supervisors and subcontractors, reporting directly to the Construction Manager. This role offers genuine autonomy, long term stability and a clear pathway into senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Managing electrical construction projects valued from $1M–$10M

• Leading projects from planning and mobilisation through to commissioning and handover

• Managing and mentoring teams of 10–25 electricians, supervisors and subcontractors

• Reporting directly to the Construction Manager on budgets, programs and overall project performance

• Managing project budgets, forecasts, procurement and financial performance

• Managing variations, RFIs, progress claims and project reporting

• Coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to achieve key milestones

• Building strong relationships with Tier 1 & 2 builders, consultants and clients

• Driving WHS, quality and compliance across all project activities

• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with Australian Standards, WHS requirements and contractual obligations

About you

• Current NSW Electrical Licence

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Project Manager

• Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial electrical projects valued between $1M and $10M

• Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 electrical contractor highly regarded

• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing project budgets and financial performance

• Excellent understanding of electrical construction methodologies, procurement and project programming

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large site teams

• Confidence dealing directly with builders, consultants, clients and subcontractors

• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant project management software
