Senior Solution Specialist LTE/5G

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Specialist – LTE/5G to join our Innovative Technology Services team and play a key role in developing, delivering and growing our LTE/5G capabilities across Australia and internationally.

About the role
This is a senior technical and customer-facing position combining LTE/5G solution development, RF planning, pre-sales, consulting and technical leadership.

You will work closely with customers, vendors, engineering teams and internal stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose wireless solutions and support opportunities from early-stage technical concepts through to project delivery.
You will be responsible for:

• Providing specialist technical expertise across LTE/5G and other wireless technologies, including TETRA, satellite and critical communications.
• Developing technical solutions, selecting products and supporting initial product verification.
• Providing L3/L4 technical support for LTE/5G solutions and assisting engineering teams during project rollouts.
• Leading technical input into tenders, bids, EOIs, estimating and pre-sales activities.
• Developing RF planning methodologies and assessing RF coverage and network performance against customer requirements.
• Working directly with customers to provide technical consultancy and present solution concepts.
• Managing technical relationships with vendors and technology partners.
• Supporting the development of CommTel's LTE/5G services, capabilities and sales toolkit.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineers and contractors involved in project delivery.

About you

You will be an experienced wireless communications professional with strong technical capability across LTE/5G and a proven ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions.
Ideally, you will bring:

• Strong experience in LTE/5G wireless communications and RF technologies.
• Experience with RF planning tools, coverage analysis and network design.
• Exposure to TETRA, DMR, satellite or other mission-critical communications technologies.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, tenders, bids, solution design or technical consulting.
• Strong commercial and customer-facing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with technology vendors and managing technical relationships.
• The ability to provide technical leadership and support engineering teams through project delivery.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
