AIB provides building and rectification services in the Greater Newcastle/Central Coast and surrounding regions, on behalf of large national insurance companies. Our work encompasses full construction, emergency repairs and maintenance work within the industrial, commercial and residential sectors. The role:

We are seeking a building professional to:

• Attend sites across Newcastle/Central Coast and surrounding regions working with AIB's large team of estimator/supervisors.

• Review estimators/supervisors reports/scopes and carryout repairs in a timely manner 

• Organize/source the materials required to complete the repairs allocated 

• Assist in the management of multiple projects at any given time ranging from $1000 to $500,000

• Liaise with loss adjusters, home owners, subcontractors and insurance contacts

• Schedule and manage trades while completing carpentry repairs

• Complete all WHS required – including risk assessments and SWMS

• Attend emergency make safe jobs and be a part of the AIB on-call roster 

• Learn, use and maintain workflow system ( Experience with PRIME Ecosystem and advantage )  

Candidate requirements:

• Insurance repair experience preferred but not critical 

• Relevant licenses and tertiary education - Cert IV Building & Construction / carpentry License

• Extensive knowledge of WHS and the BCA

• Working at heights preferred

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to build/maintain relationships with clients/subcontractors/Home owners

• Customer focused and professional attitude

• Ability to handle pressure

• Good problem solving skills and pro active personality

• Friendly and personable manner 

• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask

• Competent with Microsoft Office and Outlook

• Current driver's license
