Pump Fitter | Fitter and Turner - Workshop

We're seeking both an experienced Pump Fitter or Machinist to join a well-established OEM manufacturer and service provider with operations across Australia and New Zealand. • $52/hr + penalties + super

• Monday to Friday roster (7:00am - 3:30pm)

Working within a busy service department, you'll be responsible for the overhaul, inspection, refurbishment, and testing of pumps and rotating equipment.

Duties include:

• Stripping and rebuilding pumps

• Inspection and fault diagnosis

• Bearing assembly and fitting

• Precision measurement and quality checks

• Refurbishment and maintenance activities

• Reading technical drawings and maintenance documentation

• Testing and commissioning equipment

• Maintaining high workshop safety and quality standards

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (Cert III Mechanical Fitting or Fitter & Turner or equivalent preferred)

• Previous pump rebuild or servicing experience

• Experience working on rotating equipment

• Strong fault-finding and mechanical fitting skills

• Competency using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment

• Experience working to tight tolerances

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• OEM pump experience

• Slurry pump experience

• Wastewater pump experience

• Manufacturing or engineering workshop background

Not everyone wants FIFO.
