Your opportunity at FIELD

As a Crane Inspector you will be out and about doing crane inspections, auditing high risk plant and equipment and load testing. You’ll travel to client sites across Australia, then head back to our Brisbane office to write up your findings. You’ll get to work on cranes (overhead, mobile and tower), mining equipment (draglines and shovels) and other high-risk plant.

Don’t be put off if you don’t have inspection and auditing experience. You will receive all the training you need. If you have completed your trade and you love all things mechanical but don’t fancy a life on the tools this is change you have been looking for.

This is a job that will grow with you. With experience you will find yourself working on analysis and investigation projects. And if you want more…further study in engineering is an option.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• a mechanical, structural or electrical trade qualification
• experience in crane/heavy equipment maintenance and repairs
• current Driver’s Licence
• no fear of heights.

We would also love you to have:

• ability to use MS Word and Excel is an advantage (training can be provided)
• good communication skills. You’ll need to do some reporting and you’ll be confident in talking to our clients.
• previous experience, or an interest in control systems (useful but not essential).
