Summary
Join St John Fisher College and use your expertise to advise on and manage the school’s risk and compliance systems to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and workplace health and safety processes.

About The Opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures.Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to operations within the school.Delivering and advising staff, students, and the school community on policy updates and publishing via appropriate channels.Facilitating the completion and report on risk and compliance tasks through the appropriate avenuesAdvising and facilitating the conduct of risk assessments by responsible staff members for school events.Implementing communication and consultation initiatives and awareness of WHS requirementsAssisting in the investigation of HSW issues or incidents across schoolsAssisting in the development and review of Health and Safety requirements and associated documentation for schoolsConsulting with management and stakeholders on their schools (or office) WHS performanceAssist in the identification and management of riskAssist in health and safety consultation activitiesConduct and assist workers to conduct regular health and safety inspections and risk assessmentsInvestigate health and safety incidents and dangerous events to prevent recurrence.
About You
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving operational systems and processes.Strong understanding of legislation, regulations, and guidelines to interpret and apply within a school setting.Ability to communicate policy updates clearly to a wide variety of groups and stakeholders.Experience in managing and reporting on risk and compliance tasks effectively.Skilled in advising and facilitating risk assessments for events.Tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma in a related field and/or relevant experience will be highly regardedFor this position you are not required to be Catholic.
