Psyche Mental Health Centre is inviting expressions of interest from psychologists at any career stage who might want to join our team later this year.

We're keeping this deliberately open. Great psychologists don't all look the same on paper; you might be a provisional psychologist after a supportive place to build your career, an early-career psychologist ready for your next step, or an experienced clinician looking for somewhere you can do good work and make an important contribution. Wherever you sit, we'd like to hear from you.

A little about us

Psyche MHC is a Tasmanian-owned psychology practice with clinics in Moonah and Sorell. We work with children, adolescents and adults across a wide range of presentations and backgrounds, and our clinicians bring different interests, experience and therapeutic approaches to the team.

We care about high-quality, ethical psychological care. We also care about running a workplace where psychologists get to be people; good clinical support, real autonomy, sensible expectations, genuine flexibility, and a team that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Who we're after

We're keen to hear from:

• Provisional psychologists

• Early-career psychologists

• Generally registered psychologists

• Clinical psychologists

• Experienced and senior psychologists

• Psychologists with a particular clinical, assessment or professional interest they want to develop

Full-time isn't essential, and neither is fitting neatly into a box. For the right person, we're happy to talk about hours, location, clinical interests and what you want your career to look like next. Depending on where you're at, there may also be opportunities in assessment, supervision, program development, community partnerships and other parts of Psyche MHC beyond a standard therapy caseload.

What matters to us

Qualifications and registration matter, obviously. So do curiosity, humour, kindness, self-awareness, and being someone people actually enjoy working with. We want clinicians who care about their clients, think carefully about their work, aren't afraid to ask questions, and don't feel they need to pretend they know everything. We also want people who add something to the team; who chip in, back each other up, and make the place better just by being in it, while still developing their own professional identity rather than turning into carbon copies of each other.
