Environmental Consultant

An excellent opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to join a well-established specialised company.

EnviroProtect is a Melbourne-based company and has been a forerunner in Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Consultancy for over 30 years.

EnviroProtect is seeking a talented and self-driven Consultant with minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in contaminated land assessments.

Preferred candidate's will have the following qualifications, experience and abilities:

• Tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering/science, hydrogeology or other related discipline.

• Between 2 to 5 years professional experience in assessment/remediation of contaminated land and groundwater.

• Ability to use your technical background to deliver high quality work in contaminated land assessment.

• Demonstrated experience in contaminated land field investigations and reporting under the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure and Familiarity with the Victorian contaminated land legislation.

• Fieldwork experience involving environmental data collection (soil, groundwater, air, etc.).

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Products.

• Ability to network and engage with clients.

• Accurate reporting skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at various levels.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• Willingness to travel interstate from time to time as required.

The role will involve a wide range of projects including:

• Preliminary and detailed site investigations;

• Design, supervision and validation of remediation programs; and

• Waste classification.
