Join the Food Services team at Redland Hospital and play an important role in supporting patients, staff and visitors through quality food and friendly service. As a casual Food Service Officer, you’ll enjoy variety across food preparation, meal assembly and distribution, retail service, coffee making, stock handling and other essential food service activities!

About Your Role

As a Food Service Officer, you'll contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of Food Services at Redland Hospital, helping ensure patients, staff and visitors receive safe, high-quality food and service.

Assist with food preparation, meal assembly and distribution in line with dietary requirements and established procedures.Support retail outlet operations, including preparing and serving coffee and other hot beverages and handling cash.Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and workplace health and safety.Provide friendly, respectful and professional service to patients, staff, visitors and other customers.

About You

Strong understanding of food safety principles and safe food handling practices.Reliable, adaptable and motivated to maintain consistently high work standards.Strong teamwork and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively across different areas.

The Process

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual employment opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of twelve (12) months and you may be contacted by Metro South Health (MSH) at the time an opportunity arises matching your qualifications and/or experience.

MSH may request your participation in other recruitment selection processes (eg: interview, reference checks and preemployment checks) to further determine suitability for appointment to a specific position.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs.
