Automotive Service Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Service manager to join our expanding Service team at our Darwin Mazda Branch.

About the Role

The Service Manager role is a highly autonomous, full-time position. You will be in charge of a large team of Service Advisors and Technicians. The service manager ensures excellent Customer Service, maintains strong relationships with customers and third party vendors and ensures repeat customers. 

• Hands on leading a large group of Service Advisors and Technicians

• Monitor and control the quality, completeness, and accuracy of repair orders

• Achieve industry benchmarks.

• Review costed repair orders daily and check for accuracy of costing and information.

• Assist in the establishment of pricing policy and menu pricing in accordance with the market and Manufacturers requirements.

• Support and direct Mazda Service staff to ensure total customer satisfaction.

• Ensure workmanship of Technicians is of the highest standard.

• Maintain a highly skilled and dedicated team of people which must meet the workload demands, industry benchmarks and always deliver outstanding Customer service levels.

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Mazda service operations. This includes Customer service levels, departmental profitability, Staff performance, compliance to WH&S standards.

About you:

The successful applicant will ideally possess the following skills and criteria.

• Current Northern Territory Driver’s License

• Qualified Automotive Technician (Certificate III in Automotive) (desirable)

• 5+ years’ experience within the Automotive Industry (Service sector)

• Must have minimum 5 years’ experience at a Senior management level.

• Experienced Service Advisor or related customer service skills

• ERA Net/Power experience (highly regarded)

• Ability to lead a large team.

• Able to achieve sales and budgetary targets.

• High level of planning ability

• Ability to motivate staff to deliver the highest level of Customer service.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well in high pressure situations.
