Shift Leader

At a glance

As a Shift Leader based in Sydney, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-performing operations within a highly automated distribution centre. You will drive excellence in health and safety, productivity, and equipment performance while acting as the key point of contact for technical and operational issues. This role plays a critical part in maintaining system reliability, maximising output, and consistently meeting service level expectations.

Your Impact

Lead daily shift operations, ensuring high system performance and minimal downtimeMonitor and resolve technical and operational issues in real timeDrive continuous improvement initiatives using data insights and performance metricsOversee CMMS reporting and ensure accurate maintenance trackingSet, monitor, and achieve KPIs across safety, productivity, and service deliveryEnsure smooth shift handovers and conduct root cause analysis on system issuesMaintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholdersDevelop team capability through coaching, mentoring, and structured development plansPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellenceSupport reliability and performance of automated material handling systems

What makes you a great fit?

Qualification in mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related technical disciplineProven experience leading teams in an automated or technical environmentStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret system data and diagnosticsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage escalations and act as a key technical point of contactExperience with automated systems such as ASRS (advantageous A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
