Senior Materials Planner- Melbourne-based (Hybrid)
The Role
Join Bega Group as a Senior Materials Planner and play a key role in supporting the Supply Chain through the execution of materials planning strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining operational planning responsibilities with the leadership, coaching and development of a team of three Materials Planners. You'll partner with sites, suppliers and key stakeholders to drive service outcomes, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement across a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Responsibilities
Act as the first point of escalation for material supply issues and facilitate problem-solving activities across your category.
Manage inventory holdings, monitor supply risks and ensure proactive communication with key stakeholders.
Coordinate new product development and change activities while managing obsolescence risks.
Build strong partnerships with suppliers, sites and internal teams to improve planning outcomes and business performance.
Drive continuous improvement, cost avoidance and value creation initiatives across the supply chain.
About You
Experience in materials planning, supply planning, inventory management or a similar supply chain role
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and M3, data management and planning processes
Proven ability to work autonomously, lead small teams and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
A continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving and project management capabilities
