About the role

The Amazing Grace is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our team on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with the opportunity for more shifts if required. Based in Cranbourne VIC , this role is perfect for someone passionate about creating delicious breakfast and brunch offerings that set the tone for our guests' day. As a Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast dishes, managing kitchen operations during morning service, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes including eggs, pancakes and other morning specialities to meet menu specifications and customer expectations

• Manage breakfast station equipment and ensure all cooking areas are clean, organised and well-stocked throughout service

• Monitor food quality and consistency, ensuring all dishes meet The Amazing Grace's high standards before they leave the kitchen

• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times

• Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and address any customer requirements or dietary needs

• Prepare ingredients and perform mise en place duties to ensure efficient morning service

• Adapt to varying customer volumes and adjust production accordingly during peak and quieter periods

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Breakfast Chef or Cook in a hospitality establishment, demonstrating competency in breakfast preparation

• Strong knowledge of breakfast cuisine and the ability to execute classic and contemporary breakfast dishes to a high standard

• Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or equivalent qualification relevant to Australian food handling standards

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently during peak service periods

• Proficiency in using commercial kitchen equipment and cooking techniques

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food presentation and plating standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude

• Flexibility to work casual shifts, including early morning starts

• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences through quality food
