SECURE LONG-TERM 7/7 WORK – Boilermakers & Mech Fitters

Briones Group is seeking experienced personnel for long-term work at a various sites in the Bowen Basin.

These are ongoing 7/7 rostered positions offering consistent, full-time equivalent hours. Successful candidates will initially be engaged casually, with the opportunity to move into permanent full-time employment based on performance, reliability and ongoing site requirements.

This is not a short-term shutdown campaign. We are looking for reliable people interested in establishing themselves with Briones Group and becoming part of a long-term site crew.

Briones Group is a locally owned mining, fabrication and maintenance contractor supporting major mining clients throughout Queensland. We provide skilled maintenance, shutdown and project crews across coal operations, backed by our Brisbane fabrication workshop.

We remain hands-on with our workforce and are focused on building reliable, long-term crews who take pride in representing Briones Group on site.

• Long-term 7/7 roster in the Bowen Basin

• Competitive casual rates of up to $72/hr + super, depending on role, tickets and experience

• Current Standard 11

• Current Coal Board Medical

• Current Glencore/ Anglo/ BHP etc Inductions (preferred)

• Valid driver’s licence

• Working at Heights

• Confined Space

• Gas Test Atmospheres

• Relevant trade qualifications or High Risk Work Licences for the position

• Ability to commit reliably to an ongoing 7/7 roster

Riggers / Dogmen

• Current Dogging and/or Rigging High Risk Work Licence

• Experience supporting lifts in mining, shutdown or heavy-industry environments

• Strong understanding of lift plans, exclusion zones, permits and communication requirements

• Ability to work safely around cranes, lifting equipment and suspended loads

• Confined Space, Gas testing & Working at Heights

Boilermakers

• Relevant trade certificate

• Mining, CHPP, fixed-plant or heavy-maintenance experience

• Experience completing structural repairs, platework, chute work, guards, platforms and general maintenance

• Glencore Level 2 Weld Test is desirable but not essential

• Confined Space, Gas testing & Working at Heights

Mechanical Fitters

• Relevant trade certificate

• Fixed-plant, CHPP or heavy-maintenance experience

• Experience completing component changeouts, breakdown repairs and planned maintenance

• Confined Space, Gas testing & Working at Heights

• First Aid Certificate

• EWP, Forklift, Crane or additional Rigging licences

• Previous relevant coal-site experience

• CHPP, washplant, conveyor, chute, pump, screen or dragline experience

• Glencore Level 2 Weld Test for Boilermakers

• Can commit to their roster and arrive ready for work

• Understand risk assessments, permits and JSEAs

• Work well within an established maintenance crew

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crane crews and other trades

• Take pride in producing quality work

• Represent Briones Group professionally on site
