About the role
At McGovern Foundation, we believe that one achievement can create generational change.
Every day our team works alongside people facing significant barriers to independence, providing the support, mentoring and practical assistance they need to gain a driver's licence, access employment and build brighter futures.
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager who shares our commitment to making a difference and understands that strong financial leadership is essential to achieving lasting social impact.
This is more than a finance role. As a key member of the leadership team, you will help shape the financial sustainability of a growing, innovative not-for-profit while ensuring our resources are managed with integrity, accountability and purpose.
If you're a hands-on finance leader who enjoys partnering with executives, improving systems, supporting teams and delivering accurate financial information that informs strategic decisions, we'd love to hear from you.
McGovern Foundation is a Western Australian charity committed to inspiring and enabling independence in life.
Through our Wanderer Driver Mentor Program, we help people facing barriers to obtaining a driver's licence, creating pathways to employment, education and greater independence. As we continue to grow, we're looking for people who share our values of Relationship, Commitment, Equity and Possibility and want to contribute to an organisation that genuinely changes lives.
Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Foundation's finance function and ensuring the organisation maintains the highest standards of financial management, governance and compliance.
This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on operational responsibility. You'll work closely with the Leadership Team to provide financial insights, support informed decision-making and help position the organisation for sustainable growth.
You will also lead the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring our financial systems, payroll processes and reporting obligations are delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.
You will:
You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery. You build trusted relationships, communicate financial information clearly and understand that behind every dollar is an opportunity to improve outcomes for the people we support.
You'll bring:
Every decision you make contributes to improving the lives of people who need support the most. As we continue to grow, you'll play an important role in strengthening our financial capability, improving systems and supporting sustainable expansion.
We value work-life balance and provide flexibility where possible while recognising the importance of collaboration as a team.
