Plant and Machinery Operator

NuGrow is currently seeking an experienced multi-ticketed plant and machinery operator to join the team at our Western Downs facility. The successful applicant will be required Monday – Friday from 6am to 5pm.

We are interested in hearing from applicants who specifically have tractor operation and farming experience.

Reporting to the Western Downs Site Supervisor, the Plant and Machinery Operator's responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Operate all plant equipment, machinery and vehicles in a careful, safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation and company policies and procedures.

• Handling of organic and inorganic waste during the production of the soil and compost in accordance with set policies, procedures, regulations and legislation. 

• Perform daily pre-start, safety and maintenance checks and advise manger of any faults, service and/or maintenance requirements. 

• Ensure all activities integrate with organisational requirements for quality management. 

• Clean plant equipment and machinery as scheduled and/or required.

• Ensure plant equipment and machinery are safely and securely stored.

• Perform miscellaneous position related duties and labour as required. 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Front end loader and/or excavator ticket, dump truck ticket required

• Tractor competency (advantageous).  

• Good presentation and communication skills both written and verbal

• Ability to follow procedures and job instructions with safety being a priority

• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated

• Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
