Experienced Concrete Patcher

Ozcast Precast Pty Ltd is an established Australian precast concrete manufacturer supplying high-quality concrete products for major infrastructure and construction projects.

Our products include a range of precast concrete elements manufactured to strict quality and project requirements.

We are looking for an Experienced Concrete Patcher to join our production team in a dedicated concrete repair and finishing role.

This is a skilled, hands-on position responsible for completing high-quality patching, repairs and finishing of precast concrete products before they leave our factory.

This is not a general labouring position. Previous hands-on concrete patching or concrete repair experience is required.

You will inspect finished precast products, identify areas requiring repair and complete patching and finishing work to ensure the final product meets our quality standards.

The quality and appearance of your work matters. We are looking for someone who understands how to prepare, repair and finish concrete so that repaired areas blend as closely as possible with the surrounding concrete.

If you take pride in completing repairs that are difficult to see once finished, we want to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting precast concrete products and identifying areas requiring repair

• Patching blowholes, chips, voids, honeycombing and other surface defects

• Repairing damaged corners, edges and concrete surfaces

• Preparing concrete surfaces correctly before carrying out repairs

• Mixing and applying repair mortars and concrete patching compounds

• Colour matching repair materials to the surrounding concrete

• Matching the texture and finish of repaired areas

• Grinding, rubbing and finishing concrete surfaces

• Carrying out cosmetic concrete repairs

• Completing structural concrete repairs where required and instructed

• Using grinders, hand tools and concrete finishing equipment

• Working from repair instructions and quality requirements

• Ensuring completed products meet Ozcast quality standards before dispatch

• Working with production and quality teams to complete products on schedule

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

• Following all workplace health and safety requirements

We are specifically looking for someone with existing concrete patching or concrete repair experience.

The successful applicant will:

• Be an experienced concrete patcher, repairer or concrete finisher

• Be capable of producing neat, consistent and high-quality repairs

• Understand how to identify common concrete defects

• Know how to select and apply appropriate repair methods

• Have experience using concrete repair mortars and patching products

• Be confident using grinders and concrete finishing tools

• Understand the importance of colour, texture and finish when repairing concrete

• Take pride in the appearance and quality of completed work

• Be reliable and punctual

• Be safety conscious

• Be physically capable of working in a precast manufacturing environment

• Be able to work independently without constant supervision

• Work effectively as part of a production team

Previous experience working in a precast concrete factory would be highly regarded but is not essential if you have strong concrete repair and patching experience from another environment.

Applicants should have practical experience repairing defects such as:

• Blowholes

• Chips

• Voids

• Honeycombing

• Damaged edges and corners

• Surface imperfections

• Cosmetic defects

You should also be comfortable with surface preparation, repair mortars, grinding, finishing and matching repaired areas to the surrounding concrete.
