The Role

We are seeking an inspiring, pedagogical visionary for the dual appointment of Educational Leader and Early Childhood Teacher (ECT).

In this pivotal leadership position, you will lead our preschool classroom as the ECT while steering the educational direction of the entire service as the Educational Leader. You will mentor our dedicated educator team, drive innovation in our curriculum aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and role model positive, faith-based values across our community.

Key Responsibilities:

As Educational Leader:

• Pedagogical Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and review of the educational program across all rooms in the service.

• Staff Mentorship: Guide, coach, and mentor Diploma and Certificate III educators to elevate their documentation, critical reflection, and teaching practices.

• Quality Improvement: Work closely with the Centre Director to drive Quality Area 1 (Educational Program and Practice) for our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  

As Early Childhood Teacher (ECT):

• Classroom Excellence: Plan and deliver an exceptional, play-based preschool curriculum that prepares children for the transition to school.

• Faith Integration: Seamlessly weave Christian values, stories, and principles into the daily educational rhythm.

• Compliance: Ensure all classroom operations strictly adhere to the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Mandatory Requirements (Please Read Carefully):

To be considered for this leadership position, you must meet the following strict regulatory criteria:

• Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Deg

• Degree in Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent qualification formally approved by ACECQA as an ECT-level credential).

• Experience: Proven experience as an ECT, with a deep understanding of pedagogical leadership, the NQF, and mentoring teams.

• NESA Registration: Active registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

• Compliance Checks: A current, verified NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).

• Mission Alignment: A genuine commitment to supporting, upholding, and actively promoting the Christian ethos, faith, and values of our centre.

• The successful candidate must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this role
