Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care to patients, ensuring the health and safety of both mother and baby.
• Conduct routine assessments and monitor the health status of expectant mothers and newborns.
• Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and infant care, guiding them through the transition to motherhood.
• Assist in the development of individual birth plans and preferences, advocating for patients' wishes and needs during labor and delivery.
• Implement evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure quality care and positive outcomes for mothers and their babies.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote maternal and infant health.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognized in Australia.
• Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a midwife.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in midwifery practice, including hands-on experience in labor and delivery settings.
• Experience in managing complex cases and emergencies during childbirth.
• Familiarity with the latest advancements in maternal and infant care practices.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: AU$75,000 - AU$95,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
