About the role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join an established Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Bathurst.
About Veritas House Support Services
Our Veritas House Support Services team provide supports to the various programs of Veritas House - a vibrant not for profit community based organisation with a specific focus on supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families in the Bathurst and Orange areas. These are a combination of assessment, therapeutic intervention, behaviour support and consultation/advice services which help meet the needs of children, young people, families and carers of Veritas House. Additionally, they provide services to the general community, with a focus on supporting the needs of children, young people, families and participants.
About the Role
Veritas House Support Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join an established Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Bathurst.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a consistent support team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants.
We currently have:
Permanent Part-Time positions available with fixed rostered shifts.
Casual positions available for flexible coverage.
Opportunities across a 24/7 roster including active night shifts, weekends and public holidays
As a SIL Disability Support Worker, you will provide direct support to participants within their home and community, supporting them to:
Live as independently as possible
Develop and maintain daily living skills
Achieve their NDIS goals
Participate in community activities.
Maintain meaningful relationships and social connections
Manage household routines and responsibilities
Build confidence, choice and control in their everyday lives
About You
You are someone who:
Has a genuine passion for supporting people with disability
Understands person-centred and strengths-based practice
Is reliable, flexible and committed to making a positive difference
Works well independently and within a team environment
Can confidently follow support plans and organisational procedures
Is comfortable working a 24/7 roster including active overnight shifts

Selection Criteria
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or related field (or working towards)
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current Drivers Licence.
Strong communication and documentation skills
Desirable
Previous Supported Independent Living (SIL) experience
Experience supporting participants with complex needs, psychosocial disability or autism
Medication Administration training
