Duty Manager

NINETEEN Hunter Valley is seeking experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our expanding Sports Bar management team.

Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley, NINETEEN is a fast-growing hospitality destination featuring state-of-the-art TAB facilities, a Beer Garden, and a vibrant Sports Bar. With multiple expansions already completed—and more on the horizon—NINETEEN continues to set the standard for casual dining, entertainment, and hospitality excellence.

About the Role

Reporting to the Venue Manager, our Duty Managers oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the venue. You will deliver friendly, professional service while welcoming local patrons, hotel guests, and visitors celebrating special occasions.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys taking ownership, engaging with the local community, and leading a high-performing front-of-house team. You will also ensure compliance with all licensing, RSA, RCG, and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar management role within a fast-paced hospitality venue

• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering welcoming, memorable service

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff

• A hands-on approach with a positive, can-do attitude

• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, and weekends

• TAB experience (highly regarded)
