Graduate Business Accountant– Melbourne

About the role:

We’re looking for a Graduate Business Accountant to join our growing team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our accounts function.

Working closely with the Account Team Leader and wider Keece team, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across a broad range of accounting activities, including invoicing, payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting and job costing.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting graduate looking to build practical experience and develop their career within a growing business. You’ll be supported to put your accounting knowledge into practice while developing a strong understanding of the financial operations of a busy nation-wide organisation.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Supporting the Account Team Leader with intercompany transactions

• Assisting with payroll processing across multiple business units

• Managing and responding to the accounts inbox, ensuring queries are actioned accurately and promptly

• Supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions for multiple companies and accounts

• Assisting with insurance-related matters, including investigations and follow-up

• Providing general accounts administration and support as required

• Working across the wider accounts function to develop your knowledge and gain exposure to different financial processes

About you:

• Accounting degree or recently completed qualification; this role is ideal for a graduate looking to build their career!

• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and ask questions

• Comfortable working with systems and technology, with the ability to quickly learn new software

• Able to manage confidential financial and employee information appropriately

• Previous experience in a trade or construction environment is highly regarded, but not essential
