About the role
The Midland Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub is a free, inclusive mental health and wellbeing service supporting children aged 0–12 across the City of Swan who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges.
The first service of its kind in WA, the Kids Hub brings together specialist organisations to provide accessible, early intervention support in a safe, nurturing and child-focused environment. The Kids Hub is a free service with a no-wrong-door approach, providing step-up, step-down support for children and their families for as long as they require.
Through personalised assessment, therapy and wellbeing support, the Kids Hub takes a holistic approach to children’s mental health, ensuring children and families can access the right support early, regardless of their circumstances.
The Kids Hub Coordinator plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Hub and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and child-safe services for children and families.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, partner agencies, and community stakeholders, the Coordinator leads the operations of our Care Navigation team, ensuring the effective delivery of assessments, case coordination, group programs, workshops, and outreach services. Combining operational leadership with direct service delivery, the role also remains actively engaged with children and families through assessment, facilitation of groups and workshops, and community-based outreach clinics. The Coordinator is responsible for staff supervision, service oversight, stakeholder engagement, financial accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance outcomes for children and their families.
As a leader within the Hub, the Coordinator champions Parkerville Children and Youth Care’s commitment to safeguarding, collaboration, and service excellence, fostering a supportive environment where children, young people, families, and staff can thrive.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position until 30 June 2028, working Monday to Friday. The Kids Hub operates between 8:00am and 7:00pm, and as such, there will be a requirement to work some evenings within these operating hours. The role offers a competitive remuneration package, salary packaging benefits, and a range of employee wellbeing initiatives.
At Parkerville Children and Youth Care, you’ll join a passionate and purpose-driven organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families to thrive.
We offer:
Bring your leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and help create brighter futures for children and families in our community.
Submit your resume and cover letter by 8 September 2026.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may commence prior to the closing date.
Parkerville Children and Youth Care is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory screening and background checks. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be able to remain in Australia without restrictions that would prevent them from fulfilling the requirements of the role.
