About The Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Medical Radiation Scientists (MRS) provide imaging services for our clients in the most efficient, effective and professional way. The MRS is responsible for the welfare and safety of patients, staff and the public.

We are seeking a qualified Radiographer/Sonographer with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience. Applicants should demonstrate experience across a broad range of ultrasound services, including general, obstetrics and gynaecology, and breast ultrasound. Casual employees will be offered at least 3 to 5 shifts a week.

Ideal Candidate

Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent qualification accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and General Registration with AHPRA, or possess a Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Medical Sonography and be eligible for registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).Possess a licence to operate irradiating apparatus under the NSW Radiation Control Act.Superior level of expertise in ultrasound scanning.Ability to perform a wide range of medical imaging procedures including ultrasound and radiographic duties, including shift work, on-call, Emergency and overtime when required.Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel and customers, and the ability to work as part of a team.
