DSPG is looking for an organised, proactive and capable Business Administrator to join our team.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be doing the same administrative tasks every day. You’ll work across multiple areas of the business, supporting our management, projects and field teams and helping ensure the systems behind our operations run smoothly.

You’ll have responsibility for a broad range of business administration including employee onboarding, fleet and vehicle coordination, safety and compliance records, PPE and uniforms, office coordination and general operational support.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate new employee onboarding through Employment Hero, ensuring required information and documentation is completed prior to commencement
• Supporting the administration of our safety and compliance systems (Mitti)
• Coordinating company vehicles, servicing, registrations and fleet record
• Use Mitti (SafetyCulture) to monitor and manage plant, machinery and equipment servicing requirements. Monitor upcoming and overdue servicing and follow up to ensure required maintenance is completed.
• Coordinating PPE, uniforms and office supplies
• Assisting with apprentice training and employee administration
• Managing general office administration, suppliers and facilities
• Supporting company events, training and staff initiatives
• Preparing reports and maintaining accurate business records
• Working closely with management, project teams, service teams and field staff
• Support project mobilisation and ongoing administrative requirements
• Coordinate and maintain plant and equipment documentation as required
• Identifying opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes

About you

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being the person who keeps things organised and moving.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in an administration or business support role
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive approach—you don’t need to be reminded to follow something through
• Confidence communicating with employees, managers, suppliers and external providers
• Good Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• The ability to learn and confidently work across multiple business systems

Experience within construction, plumbing, trade services or a similar operational environment would be highly regarded.

Experience using Simpro, Mitti, Employment Hero or Geotab would also be advantageous, but isn’t essential for the right person.
