This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment for twelve (12) months at 39 hours per fortnight (0.51 FTE), with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Position Profile:  We are seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to join our team located at Perth Children's Hospital.

The Orthoptist will work within the multidisciplinary Ophthalmology Outpatient team. This position works alongside the Ophthalmology Consultants, Ophthalmology Clinical Nursing and Outpatient nursing Teams and alongside fellow Othoptists to clinically assess paediatric patients with eye conditions to determine treatment plans or referral onto an Ophthalmologist for review. The successful candidate will perform ocular motility, visual field assessments, biometry and any other Orthoptic assessments.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within CAHS and/or the wider WA public sector.
