About the role

The Payroll Officer's principal function is to ensure that employee's fortnightly pays are processed correctly and on time whilst ensuring all legislated requirements are met including industrial Award compliance, superannuation, long service leave, PAYG and payroll tax.

You will:

• Co-ordinate and communicate with Branch Managers about source data for payroll and completion of timesheets in Flow Logic

• Undertake relevant data checks to ensure accuracy of source data for payroll

• Import timesheets into Employment Hero payroll system

• Create pay runs for administration and care staff payrolls

• Run the payroll process and check each employee's pay for accuracy

• Undertake payroll and general ledger reconciliations as required

• Run payroll audit reports and provide to the HR Business Partner for checking and authorisation

• Undertake the payroll finalisation process in the payroll system

• Receive and address any payroll queries and manage employee pay inquiries

• Undertake payroll year-end processes and generate annual Income Statements for each employee

About you

• Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience with variable sized payrolls

• Must have extensive knowledge of and experience with Employment Hero Payroll and HR systems

• Solid understanding of industrial Awards and in particular, the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 and the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020

• Good knowledge and in depth understanding of legislation and processes related to superannuation, tax and portable long service leave

• Advanced software and IT proficiency including MS Office suite

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent time management and organisation skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Current or willing to obtain Police Criminal Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
