Casual Lead Educator - Redlynch Daycare Centre, QLD

Requirements for the role;

We will assist you in identifying your eligibility and obtaining the following:

• Blue card 

• First Aid and CPR 

• AFP Police Check 

• Sleep Safe Certificate 

• Child Protection Certificate 

• Driver's Licence or Proof of Age card

• Completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education

• Availability: Monday to Thursday, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, working 7.5 hours per day

• Flexibility: Ability to assist with either opening or closing the Daycare as required

About the role.

• To be aware of and implement the policies and procedures of the service.

• To work within the legislated guidelines of the Education and Care Services Regulations and National Quality Standards.

• Always ensure the safety and supervision of children.

• To assist in keeping the service clean and tidy, and help to arrange the play environments to ensure the best opportunity for children’s learning experiences.

• To assist in the preparation of food, activities and environments at the beginning of care sessions and cleaning at the end of care sessions.

• As the Lead Educator, implement and supervise developmentally appropriate programs for children.

• Assist the Coordinator in ensuring that the service meets or exceeds the national quality standards requirements.

• Provide professional leadership and development to staff as the Lead Educator.

• Liaise with management committees as appropriate.

• Assist the Coordinator with the overall management and administration of the service.

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the service in the temporary absence of the Coordinator, and for management and compliance with licensing and all statutory and quality standards issues.

• Any other duties as directed by the coordinator.
