As our long-term, major operations and maintenance contract continues to grow, we are seeking a talented Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team at the Sydney Ports.

Support the Defence Fuel Network across Australia, ensuring excellence in Mechanical Maintenance and reliability.Contribute directly to the success of a program essential to national defence capability.Work alongside industry experts, Defence partners, and UGL?s outstanding teams.

The Role

Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at the Sydney Ports, supporting surrounding locations in the NSW region, with occasional regional travel. You will be a part of a core crew of UGL technicians.

The duties will include, but not limited to;

Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipmentDiagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipmentProject work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipmentSupport subcontracted work packages as requiredSupport various sites in Sydney with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout NSW

The Rates:

Level 1 - $48.63 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($37.63 Weekly)

Level 2 - $52.34 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($37.63 Weekly)

Level 3 (Dual Trade) - $56.08 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($37.63 Weekly)

What you Need

You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer.

We expect the successful applicants to have the following

Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experienceProven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regardedConfined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regardedSafety is at the forefront of everything you do!Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
