CNC Programmer/Estimator – Steel Plate Profile Cutting | Ferrocut | Pooraka, SA

About the Role

As a key member of our CNC Programming Department, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to deliver precision results across our laser, high-definition plasma, and oxy-fuel profiling, brake press, and rolling operations.
Your primary focus will be on creating optimized nests and efficient cutting programs, ensuring accuracy, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for laser, plasma, and oxy-fuel cutting machines

• Optimize nesting for material efficiency and production flow

• Interpret mechanical drawings and CAD files with precision

• Liaise with customers regarding quotations, production and delivery.

• Monitor jobs throughout the production process to ensure deadlines are achieved.

• Work closely with the operations team to maximize production efficiency and cost effectiveness.

About You

• 3–5 years’ experience in CNC programming or manufacturing

• Strong mechanical drawing interpretation skills (essential)

• Experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of SigmaNEST is an advantage

• Background in metal trades, laser cutting, or steel processing preferred

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
