Manager, Management Accounting

Legal Aid WA is seeking an experience finance professional to lead our Budgeting and Management Accounting function.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, this role leads the Management Accounting team and plays a key role in supporting effective financial planning, funding advocacy, business case development, financial modelling, cost management, financial forecasting, and special funding program management.

This is an opportunity for an experienced management accounting professional who enjoys partnering with the business areas, translating complex financial information into practical insights, and helping shape organisational decision-making

About you

We are looking for a strategic leader who has:

• Demonstrated experience in collaboration with business areas and other stakeholders to develop complex financial and costing models for external funding submissions.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing internal budget and resources allocation processes in a complex financial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the resources and activities of a team through continuous change to achieve outcomes.
• High level analytical and conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to discern and respond effectively to client requirements.
• Contemporary knowledge of financial analysis and management accounting principles and accounting practices.
