Ally Fashion is an Australian based multi-brand fast fashion destination which provides its customers with value, quality, and on-trend outfits through an enthusiastic, fun, and professional team. Ally first opened its doors in Sydney in 2001 and now has over 100+ stores nationally as well as a thriving online store shipping worldwide.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Fashion Buyer to join us as a key member of the Product Management and Buying team, where you will be responsible for driving the success of our in-store and online products in line with Ally’s strategic goals! You will assist in market research into our product offering, be across and drive all KPIs, complete periodical seasonal and weekly analysis to identify opportunities and risks and create action plans in response to consumer and trend data.

What you’ll do:

• Product and design development

• Identify key trends well in advance.

• Illustrate concepts by producing storyboards and specification drawings.

• Select, develop, and source fabrications, colours, trims etc.

• Participate in fitting sessions and approve final samples with QA.

• Liaise with suppliers and contribute to costing estimates.

• Ensure accurate order processing systems are in place and maintained.

• Manage the critical path from product conception to delivery to store.

• Work with the production team performing administrative duties.

• Finalise specification sheets with detailed sketches when required.

• Seasonal travel overseas to gain information on current trends.

• Conduct consistent local and internet market research.

• Adhoc projects as required.

What we are looking for:

• At least 1-2 years’ experience buying or designing in the fast fashion industry

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify trends and translate those to suit the client-base.

• Strong sense of style and trend forecasting

• Desire to establish a long-term career.
