The Opportunity

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading a team of building supervisors to achieve the timely and cost-efficient completion of awarded building projects. The Construction Manager will identify training opportunities, assist with dispute resolution and drive customer service, quality, safety, timeliness and financial performance of the supervision team.

Main duties and responsibilities 

• Lead the Supervisors to deliver quality building works in keeping with the scope of works and allocated budget.

• Ensure supervisors manage and track accurate budget breakdowns.

• Drive, manage and adhere company safety processes on all jobs.

• Deliver to the business successful project results.

• Ensure the construction team plan, schedule and drive construction projects.

• Assist supervisors to ensure trades/suppliers adhere to purchase orders, SOW's and quote requests.

• Attending site to review projects.

• Ensure the project construction schedules, budgets, and profitability are achieved.

• Promote and drive the quality of construction through the construction team

• Lead the team to ensure revenue targets and other KPIs are met as required

• Identify training opportunities within the construction team

• Work with the Operations Manager and team leads to achieve business objectives.

• Regularly report to the Operations Manager on KPIs, project performance, and budgets.
  

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Building, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or another relevant discipline.

• 5+ years in a construction leadership role.

• Adaptable and a problem solver.

• QBCC Site Supervisor Licence.

• C Class Drivers Licence
