About the Role

As a Diesel Fitter with MacKellar, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant to keep our equipment safe, reliable and productive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing machine maintenance, component replacements, overhauls and repairs
• Fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
• Completing daily refuelling and equipment inspections
• Carrying out planned maintenance within required timeframes and cost parameters
• Working effectively across day and night shifts
• Following procedure-based maintenance systems and site standards

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or LV Fitter/Mechanic
• Post-trade mining experience
• Proven experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment in a workshop environment
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
• A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
