Apprentice Roof Plumber – Barossa Valley

Wonganella Constructions is a Barossa-based construction company specialising in commercial and industrial roofing and cladding, structural steel erection and steel building construction. 

We are looking for a motivated person to join our team as an Apprentice Roof Plumber , working towards a Certificate III in Roof Plumbing.

This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety. While your apprenticeship will focus on roof plumbing, you will also work alongside our crews on a broad range of structural steel and industrial construction projects. 

The Role

As part of your apprenticeship, you will gain practical experience in: 

• Commercial and industrial roofing 

• Roof and wall cladding

• Gutters, downpipes and rainheads 

• Flashings and architectural cladding 

• Reading plans and setting out 

• Using hand and power tools 

• Working safely at heights 

• Working from EWPs and access equipment 

• Working around structural steel erection and crane operations 

• Industrial, water infrastructure, quarry and larger construction sites 

Our work is varied, so you won't necessarily be doing the same thing every day or working on the same type of project.

• Has a strong work ethic and willingness to learn 

• Enjoys practical, hands-on work 

• Is comfortable working outdoors and at heights 

• Takes pride in doing things properly 

• Can take instruction and work well within a team 

• Has good communication skills 

• Wants to build a long-term career in the industry 

A current driver's licence and reliable transport are highly desirable. 

Previous construction experience is helpful but not essential. Attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to us.
