Charge Up Operator - Cowal

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Charge Up Operator to join our mining operations at Lake Cowal. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused and motivated individual to play a key role in supporting underground production activities within a high-performing mining team.

Working closely with production and technical teams, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient charging of development and production headings while maintaining compliance with site standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Safely charge development and production blastholes in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate and maintain charging equipment.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
• Ensure explosives are handled, transported and stored in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Maintain accurate charging and blasting records.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects.
• Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with mining crews to achieve production targets.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous underground mining experience as a Charge Up Operator.
• Current NSW BUEL and UHL Qualifications essential
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Experience operating emulsion charging units and associated equipment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's License.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing requirements
