Description:

The AI Adoption Coach is responsible for developing AI fluency across Novigi, coaching judgement, embedding new ways of working, and enabling staff to independently apply AI to real business problems. This role is focused on coaching people in the room, on real work, with the actual tools open. It is not a traditional training role and it is not a technology support role. The purpose of the role is to help people build confidence, apply judgement, redesign workflows, and independently use AI to solve real business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Run cohorts and 1:1s at the moments people actually get stuck, using real work and live tooling, rather than toy demos.
• Coach staff to move from AI literacy to AI fluency, where AI becomes embedded into how they approach and complete work rather than something separate they remember to use.
• Pair with staff who have a microagent or workflow improvement idea and help them scope, build, test and ship it.
• Ensure staff can repeat the process independently, so the role leaves people more capable rather than dependent on the Coach.
• Coach the line between what a human should own and what AI should carry, including when to trust AI output, when not to, and when human judgement needs to stay firmly in the loop.

• Facilitate practical sessions with people who may be sceptical, stuck or unsure, and help them identify the real friction in their workflow.
• Support staff to redesign how work gets done, not simply work slightly faster with a chatbot open in another tab.
• Hold open office hours for staff with difficult, unclear or awkward AI-enabled work problems.
• Surface patterns, blockers, friction points and lessons from coaching sessions and feed these insights back into the broader AI Adoption & Enablement function.
• Share visible examples of what worked and what did not, so adoption remains practical, honest and grounded in real work.
• Leave behind outputs that continue to create value, such as a microagent still running, a staff member who no longer needs coaching, or a redesigned workflow that is now part of normal practice.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Daily working capability across Copilot, Claude and comparable AI tooling.
• Practical capability in prompt engineering, agentic build environments such as Copilot Studio, Claude projects and artefacts, or comparable workflow-building tools.
• Ability to assess where AI fits a workflow and where it does not.
• Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to adapt to scepticism, ambiguity and different levels of confidence in the room.
• Ability to sit alongside someone’s actual, messy workflow and identify the real friction, rather than relying on assumed or theoretical process problems.
• Strong coaching capability, with the ability to build confidence, judgement and independence in others.
• Ability to explain AI concepts in practical, work-relevant language without overcomplicating or overpromising.
• Comfort learning in public and talking openly about what did not work, not just what did.
• Strong judgement and nuance, particularly in helping others understand when human oversight, review or decision-making remains essential.
• Ability to influence through expertise, trust and usefulness rather than formal reporting authority.
• Ability to contribute to capability uplift across the organisation by identifying repeatable lessons, patterns and examples from coaching sessions.
• Prior experience standing up a coaching, practitioner or community-of-practice environment.
• Light scripting or automation experience.
• Exposure to financial services, superannuation or wealth management.
• Experience helping people build practical automations, microagents, workflow improvements or AI-enabled outputs that continue to operate after the coaching interaction.
